Hi everyone, I'm writing a new blog because I've just got two hearing aids and I wanted to share some of the trials and tribulations of having new hearing aids. I hoping it might help some people (maybe feel a little less isolated) but also I'm just hoping it might raise a couple of laughs! Let me know what you think!

Thank you for your comments. I was first diagnosed with moderate hearing loss in April, although to be fair, when I look back it has probably been a gradual loss over some years.

I am getting really used to my hearing aids, they have made a tremendous difference to my hearing and my confidence.

Welcome to the hearing loss forum. It is so nice to meet you.

I read your blog and enjoyed it. I had to smile at your description of the waiting room where everyone heard your name except you. People hear "moderate hearing loss" and think that it is not a big deal, but it really is! Forgive me if I missed this information on your blog, but how long have you had hearing loss?

I would love it if you would post how you are doing with your hearing aids on this forum. Take care!
