chronic ear infections

I keep having ear infecttions one right after another. I can't afford to go to the doctor every time I have one.  I did get tubes put in my ears.  I am realizing I can't hear certain things now.  Any ideas I can do at home to keep the infections away?

With tubes in your ears, its really important that you keep your ears dry and not allow water into them. Are you using ear plugs when bathing?  Water entering the middle ear through the tubes can cause infections.  Does your physician know that you are continuing to have ear infections with the tubes in place?  I know its costly but this type of condition has to be medically managed - your doctor knows about any contributing factor and can help you with preventative approaches to the recurring infections.  Long term damage can occur with chronic ear disease, so please do make a return visit and ask what can be done to minimize these incidents.
