Thank you.
This is MedHelp at its best.
The lazy, easy answer is "there is nothing we can do about it".
For most kinds of tinnitus -- namely those that involve damage to the inner ear -- there is no "cure" yet. There are things that can be done to mitigate the problem, but that's about it. This is usually very patient-specific. In other words, a good history and a discussion are key. This is why some docs don't want to be bothered by it. And then, there are other kinds of tinnitus that can indeed be cured -- but again, this takes someone who is willing to do the work of a thorough history and running necessary tests.
I used to have it, but am cured now. I documented what happened to me in my sole Journal entry, which inlcludes a link to my web site with *all* the details. Maybe it will help some of you, I hope so! Good luck and get well soon.
youand me both Entmd nuts is good though esp when youhave this noise in your ear all the dam time ,,

hope youare well
All the doctors I've talked to about this (3 general and 2 Otos) just shrug. "There's nothing we can do about it." I this true? At least at one level it is - they don't know what to do. Sometimes it drives me nuts, and I'm all kinds of nutty already.
Sorry to hear that you received such a response.
You should see an Otolaryngologist and an Audiologist. They take these matters seriously and will do their best to help you out.
Tinnitus is indeed interesting, just apparently not to that guy...
