nothing that will 'reduce' it but the things I've recommended will either slow progression or stop it.

One more thing. Ensure that if he gets any shortness of breath or chest pains in the future that you get him to hospital for immediate diagnosis. Ignoring symptoms is the reason why many people end up with heart muscle damage.

We are not Doctors on this forum, but we do have a lot of knowledge and experience. I personally have had a triple bypass and 10 stents.
Please ignore such remedies, they will build up your hopes and show no results. The best solution is as I suggested. Heart disease is causing huge cost issues to our National Health service in the UK, so believe me, if there was a simple cure, we would all be taking it.

Thank you Doc... Thanks for clearing my doubts .. I have one more doubt. I saw in Face book that there is a Natural theraphy to avoid angiotheraphy it says :
NO NEED FOR ANGIOPLASTY..
Natural theraphy for opening the veins of Heart.
Ginger Juice, Garlic Juice, Apple Vinegar & Lemon Juice -  each 1 Cup .
Mix all above and boil in light flame , when it becomes three cups , take it off and cool down. Now mix  it with 3 cup of natural honey and keep it in a clean bottle.
How to take : Take 1 table spoon of this juice daily before breakfast. Your blockage from veins will disappear slowly.

So is this True or False.

One of the major arteries which feeds oxygen to your heart muscle has a blockage inside it of 40%. The vessels are larger than they need to be, so 40% will not be damaging.  There is no cure, BUT if the blockage gets to 70% or greater, then it can be stented. This is a wire mesh tube which is inserted into your blockage, to hold the artery open.
Lifestyle changes are the current only option you have to lower the chance of this blockages chance for increasing in size. So, things such as healthy diet, low processed sugar intake, no smoking and regular exercise are important. If you have lots of emotional stress in your life, you need to limit this.

Well the results are not exactly bad. You only appear to have one area of disease, which certainly doesn't require any intervention yet. 40% may sound a lot but you are unlikely to get any symptoms until the blockage reaches more than 50-60%.
Now would be a good time to look at your lifestyle and adapt it to be as healthy as possible.
