8 wks post ablation fast heart beats

Hi,
I am 8 wks. post ablation.EP got the flutter.  I feel great except I have numerous short runs.....only seconds to a cpl of minutes. They just happen..no big bump before or after....heart beat not extremely fast..half even under 100bpm, others 106-120 bpm, and are regular.  These can occur at rest but mostly when I am golfing or wandering around. I take metoprolol, 75mg and was put on coumadin because of a 30 sec. A-Fib while wearing an events monitor for two weeks one month after the ablation. Are we being overly cautious with the coum...I am still hoping that little A-Fib was part of the healing process, and what is happening with these run....dont keep track, but I would say around 50 a day.  I sleep really well!!!!

Thank you.

You may have some atrial tachycardia post ablation which may get better, or there is some recurrence of atrial flutter (less likely), but most likely, after the flutter was ablated we uncovered the atrial fibrillation.  You have to stay on the C for now and should have some long term monitoring after 3 months post ablation before even thinking about stopping the it.
