Angiogram Report

Coronary Angiogram Report

by mehdiabbasbukhari1974, Jan 23, 2014
I am a male 40 years from Sialkot Pakistan. I had a heart attack almost 2 months ago on 9th of November 2013. I was given SK injection. I went for Angiography on 21st November 2013 who's report is mentioned Below.

Pressures:
Pre-Angio:     Ao=   120/80-93    LV 121    EDP=   14
Coronary Arteriography:(RR 6F / NI)
Left Coronary Artery:
Left Main Stem:         Mild Irregularities

Left Anterior Descending Artery:
Mild Generalized Irregularities and total occlusion at apex

Left Circumflex Artery:
Dominant Vessel with mild irregularities and a long moderate stenosis in proximal OM2.

Right Coronary Artery:
Non-dominant vessel with mild irregularities

LV Angiogram:
Antero apical akinesia with moderate LV systolic dysfunction.
Ejection Fraction= 40%

Management Decision:
Continue Medical management and risk factor modification.

The cardiologist who did my angiography told me that my disease will be treated with medication and if I change my life style, reduce weight quit smoking and take medicine properly then there will be no need of stenting. I am very much worried about my disease. Can any body tell me about it?

I can't translate all your technical data, but I am sure your doctor can.

If in the same position, and I do have heart problems, and a doctor told me to stop smoking (I quit at about the age of 45, almost 30 years ago), lose weight (I lost 25 pounds last year and no longer suffer from obstructive sleep apnea) and in general live a healthy life style and I'd not need further surgery - I'd take it as GOOD NEWS and immediately implement.

I know you can quit smoking and that's a good one to start with... then weight, for me I guessed my fondness for pastry/cake/ice-cream, .... was my problem.  I cut them out or way back and kept eating my three meals a day and the pounds dropped off in a couple of  months.  I eat a little more fun food now, but watch my weight and if it goes up a couple pounds and holds there, I know I have to cut the "sweets".
