Mitral Valve Prolapse and Right Bundle Branch Block

Hi

Am a 26 yr male, i am 5 feet 11 inches tall , but i have always been underweight. i weigh 60 kgs

I recently wanted to get tonsillectomy and septoplasty sugery done. Pre-Surgical checks showed i had Mitral Valve Prolapse and Right Bundle Branch Block

My ECG should below details

Rate :62
PR: 113
QRSD:101
QT:389
QTc: 395

---Axis--

P  45
QRS  12
T 46

My Echo Cardiagram showed

My LVEF as 64%
FS: 33%

Mitral valve Flow as : E : 0.92 m/s  A: 0.93 m/s
Aortic valve flow : 0.81m/s
tricuspid valve flow : E: .66 m/s A: 0.68 m/s
Pulmonary valve : 0.82 m/s

Impression: Mitral valve buckled into LA, No MR

I was advised IE Prophlaxis before sugery and was told it was nothing serious . I went ahead with the septoplasty and tonsillectomy

Its day 16 after the sugery and i am recovering well.

Its just that i have slight  pain when i take deep breathe on my upper left chest

if i breathe normal, i dont feel the pain....am not sure whether its just a muscle spasm from all the lying around or some thing realated to heart

Am really scared .Can i get a heart attack?

MVP is quite common and normally does not cause any problems. Some people claim that it can be the cause of chest pain, panic attacks etc, but as you are talking about recently experienced slight pain, I can not imagine that it is from the MVP.
RBBB doesn't cause any symptoms. Sometimes, people with the condition don't even know they have a bundle branch block. (you could ask the heart rhythm community to be sure).

So, there really is no need for fear for a heart attack. In fact, now that they have made an ECG and found nothing that points towards an attack, you should, more than ever, feel confident that your heart is healthy.

So, I guess you are right. It probably is from the inactivity. Lying in bed is NOT good for people.

Take care,
Ger

Im 35 years old. I also have Rbbb as well as mvp. I suffer from chronic chest pain& severe anxiety attacks. The only advice I have for any body with these conditions.... fallow cardiac diet, keep well hydrated,  and exercise atleast 2x a day. Even if its just a 15 min brisk walk. ♥
