Back pain and heart disease

Can back pain be related to heart disease.  I have a sort of chronic back pain (mid to upper back) when I get a little tired.  Could this actually be angina?

This discussion is related to Back Pain or Angina?.

I suffer from angina quite a bit and yes I have a pins and needle sensation in my upper back. I too have some discomfort and it is always in between my shoulder blades.  Do you carry Nitro with you? I do and I take Isosorbide (long lasting Nitro) daily.

Good luck!

This could definately be angina, especially if it comes on with exertion. Angina presents as back pain more often in women than men as well. A few things to consider are does it get better with rest or position change. If a change in position makes it go away it's most likely not heart related. If it goes away quickly with rest it could be angina.

In either case you should get it checked out.

Good Luck!
