Blood donation

I have had 2 embolic events within the past 6 months (last one 3 mo. ago) and am currently taking 2 325 mg. aspirin per day.  The source of the emboli is thought to be fibrin on my aortic valve.  I do not have endocarditis.  My question is:  Can I safely donate blood?  I used to donate regularly.  Thank you.
Dear Laura,
Thank you for your question.  I'm not sure what you mean by fibrin on your aortic valve.  This shouldn't be a contraindication to blood donation but check with your local blood bank to make sure.
