I apolgize for not providing more clarity in the inquiry. I read off the results of a recent echosonagram. The cardiologist stated the diameter of the ascending aorta is 3.5cm. They further stated the 3.5cm is borderline with no evidence any aneurysym. My concern is the minimal and maximum size of the ascending aorta and what I should be mindful of in regards to execise and activities.
I am somewhat unclear about what you are asking - but if you are concerned with blood pressure control, the standard therapeutic management includes diet, exercise, and medical therapy. Diet involves maintaining a low sodium diet (< 2 grams/day). Exercise usually involves 20-30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise, at least 5x/week. Medication therapy usually involves starting out on (for initial therapy) hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) or perhaps an ACE inhibitor or an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). However, medications usually involve taking into consideration allergies and other medical conditions where some agents might be contraindicated. If you are not on any regular medications, I would speak with your physician given your elevated blood pressure.
