Burping after Palps, PVC, PAC

I think I may have asked this before, but has anyone ever noticed they burp excessively while either having the palps, or right after them, or even during them.  I do...but noticed that they subside sometimes.  Also it seems as if I have a difficult time belching.  I have to twist and wriggle a little to get them out.  What gives?

I was seventy last week.(made it)....Seriously tho,I ahave suffered from these irregular hearbeats for about five years now.It appeared suddenly and in my panic I was rushed into hospital. My heart beat was doing an amazing 185 beats, and I was scared. All the usual tests were carried out,and although I was sure that I had suffered a heart attack,I hadnt.my tests were followed up by an angiagram, and nothing unusual was found other than a slight narrowing of an artery, but not serious enough to warrent a stent being fitted. This incident was followed by another two panic visits to hospital, again with no serious heart malfuntions.I have had numerous e c gs,and twice been fitted with a 24hr monitor.Nothing unusual found. The symptoms are severel heavy heart beats followed by a pause that seems that the heart has stopped, then a run of very fast hear beat that seem to go on forever. This steadies after a while and the whole thing startes all over again, sometimes lasting for a couple of hours to sometimes up to  24 hrs..The symptoms are very alarming and at first I was convinced I was going to die.However.Im still here,in reasonably good health, and coping with this.But.......as many of you have said,If I can pump the air out of my stomach,The symptons lessen and dissapear.it is almost always, followed by a feeling of trapped wind, and I can almost predict that I am goint to have palpitations.I am certain that trapped wind and these irregualr heart beats are connected,So all you sufferers get burping and save youself the stress of this uncomfortable, frightening condition.Incedentally,The doctors smile at you when you mention this,But I know,Im the sufferer.Good luck.Ken.

Just wanted to confirm if all of you have  recently did some intentional weight loss or changes in diet. Means from fatty/junk to very good less of fat and less of salt type?

I recently had a pacemaker implanted. I had numerous faints where my heart stopped. I was always burping right before an incident and now I burp all the time and especially when the PM kicks in. Sometimes I am not sure if the burps cause the PM to act up or if the PM causes the burps.
My cardiologist seemed to think the two had nothing to do with each other. I am so glad to have found these comments. Anyone of any more facts about it

Personally I think there must be two seperate issues going on here which are so closely related by symptoms that confusion becomes a major issue. Let me explain why I think this. For 48 years I had never experienced such symptoms and yet after my 5 stents in september 09, I started to get them big time. It really felt like my heart was going out of rhythm, twitching in my chest. I immediately thought "trapped wind" but why was I getting a wave of dizziness with each beat. Symptoms would start if I ate something and sometimes if I hadn't eaten. Laying down, sitting, running, jumping, walking, nothing would make it go away. Well, I say nothing, but sleep did. If I had a nap, the symptoms were gone when I woke up. I can relate to how people feel uncomfortable because the mind goes into overtime worrying, making it worse. If I managed to burp, nothing happened to the symptoms. Strangely enough, a month after my procedure the symptoms completely stopped. I no longer feel my heart at all and am unaware of it at all beating in my chest. I feel sure that in my case, although the symptoms are very similar, mine was a recovery process of stenting. I haven't had anti biotics for years and feel certain my good bacteria levels are fine. So maybe there are two distinct reasons for these symtoms. One new symptom I now have since my procedure is falling asleep if I eat. Even if I just eat a small sandwich, I suddenly feel very hot all over and get so tired that I have to fight hard not to fall asleep. I'm unsure why this would be.

Same here! Sometimes when I bend over I can feel a "bloop" like an air pocket went under my heart and then my heart beats uncontrollably. While this happens I burp A LOT! Then one good burp, like a deep one, will make the uncontrolled beating go back to normal. All my doctors seemed confused by this as well. So frustrating! Anyone else like this?

It sounds to me like you all are experiencing a good case of gas. You see, when the air gets trapped in our tummy, it has to go somewhere, and that somewhere is sometimes to our chest, thus, giving us those horrid "flutters" I know when I feel bloated and full, I will get them with a vengeance. If I slouch in a chair or lie down, they will really act up, sometimes if I can pass the gas, they will go away.

I would suggest a good pro-biotic, this will put friendly bacteria back in your gut, also, a good digestive aid taken right before you eat, both of these have been known to help, it does me at times.

I have PACs and also get the burping alot.  I've learned I have lactose intolerance and that the burping (caused by bacteria attacking the undigested dairy products), stimulated the Vagus nerve, which controls alot of things, such as heartbeat, digestion, and I think even breathing. It comforted me alot to know I wasn't just imagining this.  (My cardiologist told me this).  Hope this helps you.

I've also noticed another really wierd thing. this doesn't always happen but sometimes i have trapped gas  that i cannot burp out, if i squeeze my tummy it actually triggers a PVC!! how cool is that?!
Can anyone explain that to me because non of my docs or cardiologists can!!
also why is it that when i have alot of trapped gas i cannot lay down without triggering runs of pvcs?? my cardiologist mentioned something about change in blood volume but what has that got to do with trapped gas?

Yeah, me too, a good bit of burping.  But I am not sure if it makes the palps go away for long. I get so many.  I just notice that I get them sometimes even without eating (the burpies) and the palps feel a bit stronger at that time and don't feel as strong after a I've burped a few times.

Hi Brazzy, i have the same prob as you. i know you mentioned on a thread that i started that you find indigestion increases the missed beats?? When i am having alot of missed beats i always feel like if i can expel some of the gas in my chest by burping the missed beats will stop. usually they do stop if i can expel the air but like you i have alot of problems burping!!
