I hope that by now you have been seen by a doctor or in the ER!
You should rule out any heart problem as has been suggest by the other responses. A blood test can determine if there is any heart muscle harm, but the test requires blood drawn within a short time period. Often chest pain is not the result of a heart condition, but an evaluation should be done.
Pericarditis is inflammation of the fluid that surrounds the heart and that can cause chest pain. If your pulse is higher than normal >100 bpm that could indicate a heart problem.
It could be musculoskeletal strain or spasms, there can be many cause and a differentual diagnosis by doctor would be appropriate..
I agree...you need to go to the ER or if you are alone right now, call 911 (don't drive yourself)!!!
Not everyone experiences the same symptoms of a heart attack or the same intensity. If you have any of these symptoms: chest pressure, sweating, jaw or arm pain, dizziness, nausea, shortness of breath, chest pain, or anything similar then you need a cardiac evaluation ASAP!
Go to the emergency room! I hope you aren't even wasting time looking for a response on the computer, but are already on your way or there getting assessed by a doctor in person! You need to get cardiac enzyme testing as well as an EKG, since EKG's don't always pick up things.
