MY Mom had a chect pain last night and we took her to the doctor, He replied the BP is 170 and she had hard pain at the centre and it increased upto the elbow and we are really confused as 2 doctor said 2 different things, Plz help me in this, what would be the exact problem
Passing out, high BP 170/132 having chest pain. EKG was normal and blood work back ok. I had liver and kidney failure 10 years ago. Is causing the issues
It sounds more like you have another issue that might be causing your bp to elevate. Your cardiac enzymes shouldn't be elevated either (even the not important one?). I'd push up your appt with the cardiologist. If they give you a hard time tell them you have been having symptoms. It sounds like you need a stress test or a CTA. Don't wait, it's not worth it.
My Mom just returned to India after 6months staying with us in USA, after going there she had mild headache for 4 days, 5th day she felt little chest pain and she rushed to near by doctor, doctor checked her BP and said BP is 180, and she never suffered with high BP, she has low BP from last 20yrs.....any reason why she had high BP?
Please help us
thanks,
Prasanna
Usually when the BP is severely elevated like over 200 syst. do "some" people get chest pain. A friend of mine had a BP of 240/160 and chest pain, a co-worker of my husband was rushed to the Er with a BP of 250/140 and he had chest pains. Both had tests done, my friend had an angiogram done, and neither one of them have heart problems.
I was rushed to the ER one time with a BP of 255/130 and I had no chest pain, no dizziness, no headache, not even a fast heart rate, but SEVERE anxiety. I also had all the tests under the sun, and my heart is o.k.
Chest pain can have many causes besides the heart.
