Hey Ken:)
Its a funny day....I heard from the nurse today... from what they tell me yesterday the doctor will prescribe meds, but today the nurse called and told me he wont prescribe meds, and the doctor will call me tomorrow for a phone conference on my results? What gives? With abnormal results, and so much synscope.....i just want to know if i have to plan a procedure in my schedule lol I dont care what kind it is being open heart or pacemaker, but i feel like passing out so much about 60 percent standing and walking?
A lack of blood flow to appropriate areas of the heart can be due to blocked vessels usually caused by plaque buildup, or if there has been a prior heart attack damaged heart muscle may be scarred.
It may be a necessary precaution to be off plavix for (I believe 24 hours) in the event of bleeding from an accidental rupture, etc....Also, the insertion site for the cath will heal faster. Some people have problems with the healing process, I had no problem.
Thank you Kenkeith:)
I just got a call from the doctors office. The nuclear stress test was abnormal. They wont tell me anything yet. They want me to see the doctor in 2 days or in a week. Im homebound due to seizures and asked if a procedure is coming up, I would like to know so I may make accommadations. They havent told me nothing but did say they will call me back to start taking a medicine today. Could this be a medicine to prepare for a procedure and prior to a procedure they will tell me to stop the plavix?
Nuclear stress test show blockage, scarring and blood flow problems. what would you think it to be? I am guessing the 2 remaining blockages in the circumflex are ready to come out. OR a pacemaker is required.
Blood pressure is the measurement of the amount of resistance the heart pumps against (top number). Resistance is increased when the vessels constrict and there is less resistance when the vessels dilate. High blood pressure (sustained) damages vessels and the added workload for the heart eventually weakens (by enlarging) the heart's contractions.
An enlarged left ventricle can cause arrhythmia (irregular heartbeats), and a pacemaker can provide stability to the heart's electrical output.
