Stents from any manufacturer do not seem to agree with everybody. For a start, some people grow far more scar tissue than others. Some may form plaque more quickly than others. Every case is an individual. I think you probably had scar tissue form in the stent, which means it had to be re-treated. The chemical on the stent that you had inserted is on the metal mesh, and if you look at the photo of the stent in the link I gave you, this shows all the spaces between the metalwork. Only the tiny pieces of metal have the chemical coating to inhibit scar tissue. This has been a huge problem with stents, and continues to be the case. There is something called a drug balloon being tested at the moment. The balloon is covered with the drug and used first to expand the artery, and deliver the drug to ALL the artery lining. Then the drug coated stent is inserted. It seems to be giving promising results so far, but it's early days still. Overlapping stents are quite common, I have 5 of them in my left artery and they are still clear from 2009.
hello. are accustomed link that I sent you. I wanted to know what you think about this Catania stent. ima in 2009 after I was inpiantato after 3 months have put two others in overlapping along the same artery. I say it is not suitable for coronary streets.
