Chest, back left arm pain

i have been having pains in my chest, above left breast, down my left arm and on my back for the last 3-4 months. At first the pains came with exertion and now they come all the time, (without exersion) and are more intense. I have seen 3 cardiologists, have had 2 echos, one stress test and a heart scan that were all in the normal range. They are not affected by movement, lying down, etc but are very random. Some pains are sharp, (in my back under left shoulder blade and some are just regular pains, (down my arm). The doctors have written me off. I just thought there might be someone out there that might have some help for me. It has really depressed and scared me.

thanks, Sharon

Thanks for your story.

Can I ask who the final cardiologist was, (#10) that you ended up being happy with?

thanks.

I'm on my 10th cardio in 3 mts.

Saw the first 3 + an internist who misdiagnosed my angina as a pinched nerve.
Month later  = 3 heart attacks - treated by a team of 5 Cardios
Came home to see # 9 who was good at first meeting - then dismissive

Finally saw #10. Checked out his credentials first - he's young, has done research work at top hospitals including Cleveland Clinic (the mecca for cardios)

Called the hospital and asked to speak to a senior administrator and explained my situation. She suggested him, and she sent him a personal note that I was coming to see him based on her recommendation.

Was like night and day. This one is proactive, engaged, wants to see me every 9-12 weeks and is quite ok being the "2nd opinion" cardio if that's what I want. but I'll drop him like a hot potato if he shows any signs of being lax.

I agree w/Bob_27 ....get a second or a third or a fourth opinion if you're not satisfied - within reason.

What is your story, if you don't mind me asking? Your symptoms, when they started, etc. Do they know why your heart failed?

Thanks for the recommendation. I guess I would need to find an Indian doctor, which could be difficult. I have been seeing alternative people to try to get answers.

IF I WERE YOU I WOULD DEFINITELY GO FOR ANOTHER OPINION.

Since 3 cardiologists have written off your case a try at genuine Indian indigenous Ayurvedic treatment would bring in welcome change, I hope.
