Chest Pain

I have severe chest pain that started a couple of days ago.  On day number one I went to a doctor and he had an EKG done on me.  He came back and said "has anybody told you you may have an enlarged left ventricle?".  But, he seemed to lean more towards a chest wall issue rather than my heart causing my chest pain.

This is what it says on the sheet he gave me:

NORMAL SINUS RHYTHM
MINIMAL VOLTAGE CRITERIA FOR LVH, MAY BE NORMAL VARIANT
POSSIBLE LATERAL INFARCT. ABNORMAL ECG

He gave me a prescription for 800mg of Ibuprofen for the pain.  I am trying to decide if I should go to the ER to have this looked at better, or to wait awhile to get into a cardiologist (it is going to take awhile for an appointment).

I just put a post in and read yours.  I had normal EKG's just before I had open heart surgery.  I had blockages. I would think that you should check out chest pain.  If you do not feel right, go to the ER.  Don't take a chance of a heart attack.  I have been told to always pay attention to symptoms.  Have you made an appt. with a cardiologist?  I don't understand him giving you Ibuprofen.  If I can answer anything for you, let me know

Hm,  hard to say. If you are not feeling well, then yes, you should go to the ER and get the tests start. Sooner as better. I had an abnormal ECG, after they called me and said I should ASP go to the ER in my own interest. I did, because I felt awful. They kept me in the hospital for two weeks, I was in heart failure.
Good luck to you! Be smart about it! Better to be safe.
