14 months ago, I had a heart attack. 100% blockage of the right coronary artery. A drug eluding stent was placed. I had two other blockages which were left alone. 80 and 85% in my left leg. Over the past month I have had severe recurring chest pain. Over the past few days, I have been expteriencing nausea with the pain. I also had serious lower abdominal cramping, sometimes along with the chest pain, sometimes by itself. I went to the hospital because both pains became unbearable. EKG indicated I was not having a heart attack. Gall bladder was fine. I did have a urinary tract infection. Was given an antibiotic, and pain relievers and sent home. The lower abdominal pain has responded to medication beautifully, but the chest paiin is getting worse and worse. I don't want to go back for fear of being labelled a hypochondriac, but the pain is very real and it occurred to me this morning that I could possibly have a collapsed stent. I stopped taking plavix 7 months ago because the cost is prohibitive. The doctor didn't seem concerned about that, and not knowing that I needed to take the aspirin forever, I stopped taking that too, about 4 months ago. What should I be doing. I have started taking the aspirin again, three days ago.
