Chest pain without heart problems-What can be the reason?

My mom is 56 years old. She has been having chest pain from last couple of months. Occasionally some breathing problems. She got her diagnosis (ECG and using some machine to track the flow of some dye in the blood). The doctor says that her heart is absolutely fine but she still suffers from chest pain and occasional incidences of breathing discomfort.

I will really appreciate if anyone can give guidance as to how I should approach this medical issue. Thanks.

oh and I forgot to mention that chest pain and shortness of breath are the classic symptoms of hyperventilation, it can be extremely scary for the person, but you just have to remind them that they are not going to be affected by it

She can very well be hyperventilating or having an anxiety attack. Hyperventilation is where you breath too much and your oxygen level is too high. This is nothing to worry about, it is 0 % life threatening or at all physically threatening. A psychologist can help you out with this, good luck and God Bless.

hi, it could be from muscle or bone, from the lungs, or even from the stomach
