Hello:
I suffered a mild heart attack in October 2010. Had a heart catherization and there was no blockage present. Had a deep vein scan done on my legs and it was negative. On the day of my heart attack, my calcium levels were at 11.3. Although my levels have been high for the last two or three years (10.3 to 10.7), they were never above 11.0. My most recent tests indicate that my levels are at 10.7. Is there any correlation between high calcium levels and heart attacks? Could the high calcium levels have caused a muscle spasm which, in turn, released a blood clot in my left ventricle causing the heart attack? Thank you.
