Will Xenadrine agravate my WPW?

I am a male of 27 years old. I was diagnosed with WPW when I had a Physical 4 years ago. Until then I have had no noticeable problems or symptoms. Now I am more aware of any abnormal heart beats. I am 6 ft and approx. 230 Lbs. I am exercising and starting to lift weights and considering taking Xenadrine to assist in my weight loss. Will It cause me any unnecessary risks?
Or is this something I should not be concerned about?

Dear dudley,
Xedadrine is an over the counter weight loss product that contains ephedra.  I strong recommend against taking ephedra.  Although it has been shown to suppress appetite ephedra is also known to raise blood pressure and has been linked with at least 60 recorded deaths in the US and 1,200 illnesses, including strokes.  Other 'supplements' containing ephedra include Metabolife, Metabolift, Xenadrine, Stacker 3 and numerous others.  Instead of these over-the-counter supplements I would recommend concentrating on eating a healthy diet and continuing to exercise.

Wow! I am so glad you asked this question and today! I was just telling my husband about wanting to get an over-the-counter diet aid. I was a little hesitant because I am being treated for inappropriate sinus tachycardia and neurocardiogenic syncope with a beta blocker and I thought maybe it would have an effect on my heart rate. Are all otc diet aids the same? Or do you know of one that maybe uses another suppressant, a safer one?

Do not take any supplements containing Xenadrine, ephedra, or similiar products!

I to am an avid weight lifter with a minor arrythmia,  even in healthy individuals these products raise blood pressure increased and heartrate!  This is not a good idea to take before strenuous exercise!

Read the labels carefully! Yohimbe or some of the products marketed to increase testesterone and burn fat contain these products!!
