Cryoablation for Atrial Fibrilation (AFib) - Is it safe, is it effective?

Hi...I have a friend that was diagnosed with Afib about 4 years ago. She's definitely noticed a slow down in her energy and get's fatigued a lot easier than before. A few months ago she was referred to an electrophysiologist and he suggested cryoablation. She didn't want to go on medication so opted for the procedure. She's a few weeks away from getting it done but now is nervous, panicking, worried, about whether to go through with it. Should she be worried? Are there other natural methods she should try before trying cryoablation? Any feedabck would be appreciated...thanks.
