I will ask but I think she may be too frail for surgery.
can they not put a new patch in place using an angioplasty closure device?
patch? do you mean between the left and right side of the heart?
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. She has a leaking patch in her heart and surgery doesn't seem to be an option. She is very tired all the time and I'm wondering if her time is coming soon. Should I be preparing for her too pass soon?
The enlargements are due to a valve which isn't working properly. The valve sits between the right artrium and right venticle. I am wondering if a cardiologist has told you anything about options? The patient is elderly and I'm wondering if they would consider surgery to replace the valve, it depends on the general fitness. Perhaps there is a way they can replace the valve using angioplasty techniques which is worth asking.
