I had a Stress Treadmill in March, they think there may be an ST Depression,maybe/maybe not. They want me to have an ECHO STRESS TEST,what are they looking for,and if it is an ST Depression, can that be takin care of in a short time, and could it also show normal,My cholesteral was high back then, and it is now 103,could that help. Thanks
An echo shows many different things. Where the stress test aims to see how you respond to stress (like exercise) from a cardiovascular standpoint, the echo will look at the structure and function of your heart. Yes, it is possible to have a normal stress test and an abnormal echo, or the other way around. However, it's a good sign if you have one normal test first. Best wishes for normal results!
