Elevated diastolic low systolic

For many years I have had persistant elevated diastolic and low systolic BP readings both at home and in physicians' offices. Lisinopril/HCTZ  has lowered the diastolic reading to the low 70's from high 90's but my systolic readings range in the low 100's (under 115).  Should I be concerned with this?

If you are reading under 120 diastolic and under 80 systolic I would consider it quite normal. I am usually around 110 to 115 over 70 to 75 and thought it was a good reading.

On what do you base your opinion?  How do you know what his/her BP was before the meds?  How do you define "pre stages"?

According to what you're saying you are in the "pre-stages" of high blood pressure....just watch what you eat and you should be fine...but make sure you dont let it drop below 90/70...after that you may have low blood pressure which can be as much of a pain as high blood pressure
