Enlarged Heart

My husband had CABG surgery at the end of November. Has been recovering well and feeling very good. In January he had some shortness of breath and decided error on side of caution and had it checked out. They did a CT Scan with contrast everything looked good and it was noted that heart was of normal size.
This last week he has been having the shortness of breath again and fatigue went to ER on Saturday again a CT scan was done and it was noted heart is moderately to severely enlarged. What would cause this in such a short period of time?? He has well controlled blood pressure really has never had high blood pressure. He is very concerned since he has been feeling good and has returned to working out at the gym. He is not over weight has never smoked. Thanks for your input
