Can cold or hot weather trigger an ischemic stroke ?

Yes, cold weather can constrict vessels, and that increases blood pressure.   For statisctics,  ischemic stroke  which accounted for 87% of all strokes recorded, they found that the risk of stroke  occurrence on days with low weather temperature was 32% higher than it was on days with high temperature. Hence, they suggested the implementation of "preventive measures ... such as avoiding low temperature."
