Fluctuating BP cant find the cause

In regards to your answer I live in a small town with not many
"specialist" I have has renal urine tests such as Catacolamines and medinepherines tested all normal. Let me give you a rundown on my daily symptoms. I always feel "hot" my husband says my thermostat is messed up! If you can relate to that. I have what i call hot flashes skin gets hot to the touch all over lasts for approx. 15 minutes to 2-3 hours at this time bp usually rises.
Have blurred vision, see white floaters, dizzy, lightheded and have had persistent weight gain. I have noticed that symptoms are twice as bad when it is time for my menses. Has chronic BP for 11 years always controlled, Until last year has tubal after child was born Dr. recommended no more due to PIH. Also , after i have what i call a spell i get very tired and sleepy. I have also noticed that if i have to urinate and do not go immediatly it will trigger a spell. Can you give me any ideas on what type of tests should be performed that may help give us answers. My  physician says any suggestions will be helpful. Thyriod tests normal, Had renal angiogram It was also normal. Please offer some suggestions. I am only 29.

Do you get adrenalan rushes?

Does your heart start racing when you get scared or get into a fight or some confrontation?

What is your exact diagnosis?

I tried atenelol for a week but it wasn't working for my case. I have a problem in my Electrical system. I might go through with an E.P in a couple of weeks during the Holidays.

Good luck to everyone.
May God be with us all, and Merry Christmas.

The only other tests would be a cortisol level.
If this is negative as well, this may be essential hypertention.

I have similar symptoms.  This is a descriptions of my current position:  male, 26, non-smoker, non-drinker, labile hypertension (110/60 -> 190/110) for last year, upper body flushing/vasodilation (neck, under arms, chest, sometimes back), panic-like symptoms of tachycardia etc. but without actual panic, hot flashes, dizzy, near syncope, pvc's, two raised VMA tests, catecholamine test showed raised dopamine and noradrenaline, met and n/met showed some (not large) elevations, CT of adrenals -- nothing found, thyroid function normal, renal function normal, EKG normal, Holter normal, exercise stress test normal.  Currently taking atenolol to maintain an acceptable BP.  Mother with hypertension but onset after 40 years of age.

What should I do next?  Is it an acceptable diagnosis for a previously healthy 26 year old to have essential hypertension? and what about the urine analysis showing raised values?

Sorry to post my question here but I am living in Singapore and i have been trying to post on this board for ages but seems that due to time zone differences I can never get an available slot on the board.

Thanks
