Fluttering in chest - irregular heart rhythm just before falling asleep

I've had this feeling a couple of times before in my life, but never 5 times in one night as I have experienced last night.

It's like a 'flutter' in my chest, feels like the heart is beating in a very irregular way for a couple of seconds and I get a strong urge to cough. When I cough, it usually stops.

I had this feeling a couple of times in bed last night and in the last three I managed to put my finger on my neck artery when it happened, and I felt that the heart rhythm was off for a couple of seconds. Some quick beats, then long pause, that kind of thing.

Now i was already stressed about something and I am often worried about my heart as well (no particular reason), that I'm sure this made me more anxious and maybe caused even more of them. Also, I had lots of 'gas' last night and my intestines were making weird sounds all night. Went a couple of times to the toilet as well.

Do these sound like (innocent) PAC's or PVC's to you? And could gas and or stress have been the cause of this?

Oh yea, after the random 'episodes' stopped it got even more weird. I was trying to get some sleep, but everytime that I was 'almost' asleep, a weirdly timed beat joltet me awake.
Happened like 10 times and therefore I have not slept at all last night.

Also brought on by the stress and worry probably? I still have a nervous feeling in my stomach and my heart rate is 20% higher than normal in rest.

Should I visit a doctor tomorrow? Or does this sound like regular PVC's or PAC's with an probable harmless cause?

Thanks for your advice. Feeling kind of worried, but not enough to go to the emergency doctor now, since I have not had any since I am awake.
Thanks!
