GOOD-BYE MESSAGE FROM CCF MD

Dear Heart Forum participants,

After 5 years of participating in the Cleveland Clinic Heart Forum I will be saying good-bye to take another position.   I will be taking with me many good memories of discussions here.  I believe I have become a better doctor by listening to your comments and experiences.  I hope that I have educated, encouraged and comforted at least a little with my answers to your questions.

Many, many thanks to Cindy and Phil for starting MedHelp and for working tirelessly to keep this site up and running.  I have seen the site go from very small beginnings to become one of the more popular medical education forums on the web.  The information available to patients and their families here is invaluable.  The costs of running a site are high and if you are able to help at all with a contribution it would go a long way to keep the site open and helping others.

The Cleveland Clinic will continue to be a proud sponsor of Medhelp with your questions being answered by top cardiologists here at CCF.   If any of you are in the Colorado area I would love to see you I would love to see you in my new practice.

Best regards,
Christopher R. Cole, M.D. (CCF MD

As a frequent PVC sufferer, I have been accessing this site for about as long as it has been up.  When things have gotten particularly bad for me, I have been able to turn to your responses to remind me that things may not be as bad as they seem.  You are very articulate in your responses and you have always shown compassion in spite of being asked repetitive questions. As you can see from these comments that you have been a valuable resource to us and we are greatful for the time you have committed.

Good luck!

Dear Dr. Cole:  Just want to add my thanks.  Having ones questions taken seriously, and answered thoughtfully - as you have done for the participants in this forum - is of enormous benefit.  I think many of the problem with "non compliant" patients would be resolved if patients questions were answered satisfactorily.   Best wishes for success in your new post - and hope you enjoy skiing.

Dr. Cole,
I have posted here many times, and you have always been up front and clear.  I have learned much.  I have learned what questions to ask my own physicians, and I have a very deep respect for you.  Although, I am very very sorry to hear that you are leaving, I am happy that you have found a place that suits you and your family.  They are very fortunate to be getting such a compassionate and knowlegdeable doctor.  I am indebted to your advice as are many others.  Good luck, and sorry to see you go!!!!

I just found this great Heart Forum about 2 months ago!  Your answers pertaining to PVC's and arrhythmea have been very helpful to me.  I'm with Carol who posted above, don't they have Internet service in Colorado Springs?

Either way, I add my best wishes to you and hope to see your CRC initials back in this forum soon.
