The blood test concerned will simply tell them if heart damage was involved. You can have pretty bad angina discomfort and still produce normal blood results.
I guess the senior doctor was referring to the ECG and the blood test. But they didnt give me anything that night. no pills or spray.
Without further investigation, I think the senior doctor was incorrect in saying it's not heart related. If the first ECG showed something, and you had classic symptoms, then surely further investigation is warranted. Did they give you a nitro spray to carry around with you? when you feel the symptoms again, you simply give a couple of squirts under the tongue. This should help with the symptoms very quickly if heart related, but can give you a bit of a headache where the blood pressure suddenly drops. You could be suffering a variety of issues and just one example is vasospasm. If only of your coronary arteries is going into spasm, it will restrict blood flow and give symptoms of heart attack. There are medications for this, but a nitro spray also works in the majority of sufferers. When you arrived at the hospital, I assume they gave you Nitro pills or something as a precaution, and this could have removed the symptoms making everything look normal. Perhaps visit your Doctor and ask for a spray, so you can test it.
