You might consider wearing a Polar device, or any good brand, of a heart rate monitor to keep track of your progress. I wouldn't get one until you get 'conditioned' a bit, but watching your heart rate slow down as you progress with your conditioning and weight loss might encourage you. It sounds like you are off to a wonderful start, I'll bet you reach your goals.
That is what I figured it was. I was just checking. Yes I have a trainer twice a week and I hope to improve my stamina. Thanks for your input.
I'm not a doctor but it does sound like you're just a bit out of shape. With some gentle exercise and weight loss you may find your stamina improved and recovery time will improve as well. Are you working with a trainer or have some other professional to work with you?
Yes I agree this is most likely due to deconditioning. As you improve your fitness, your heart will be able to improve its output by not only increasing its rate but by also increasing its contractility. The you may find that your resting heart rate is slower, and that it takes a significant amount of work to reach the higher levels of your heart rate.
