Hi Brydon, Im sorry you are having to cope with these symptoms...it is very scary, and I dont want to unduly scare you further, but I can only tell you how its been for us. My son, who is now 16 years old, was complaining of chest pain and feeling 'weird' last year, he was actually only just turned 15....I brought him to the doctor and it was dismissed as ''stress''. After several more visits to the doctor, eventually last year just before Christmas, my son collapsed.....and the short version of this story is that after lots of tests it turns out all the chambers of his heart are enlarged and he has an irregular heart beat, and possible problems with his valves. We are still following things up, but my point is this.....dont let people dismiss you because of your age. Of course it is 'most unlikely' that a young person will not suffer with heart problems...''highly unlikely''.....but, get checked out thoroughly, and then if it is stress, you can deal with that.

I hope you get the answers you want and need soon. Very best wishes.

Sorry you are feeling unwell Brydon.  Sounds like you need to check in with your GP.  Are you registered in your area?  At 15yo I would think you parents are probably co ordinating your appts, what are they saying?  I agree with the Dr, sounds more like stress and anxiety which in and of itself can cause physical symptoms.

I am from NZ and now live in the USA.  You need to start with your GP and go from there.  Did the hospital refer you on to any service?

I hope you feel better really soon, try not to worry, this stuff is usually easily taken care of when you get the right supports around you.

Since you were checked by you local hospital and your blood pressure was normal with a slightly elevated pulse I would have to tell you that your symptoms are probably unrelated to your heart.  You should, however, see a physician to further assess this because it sounds like it is really affecting your quality of life.  I would see your primary care physician at first.  Sometimes panic attacks or anxiety can cause this.  Given that you are this young I really don't think that your heart is a problem.
