My brother's heart is only operating at 10% and he needs a transplant (1) how long can a personal survive with only 10% and what are the procedures for getting a transplant?  I know you basically have to wait to see if someone dies and if they are a donor?

Thanks

I can't answer your question about how long a person can survive with 10% heart function. I do know that, awaiting heart transplant, there is something called Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), which is a mechanical device that can take over/ assist your hart function temporarily.
