Heaviness in my chest

I am a female 60 year old with a family history of heart disease.
I am 5' 3 1/2" weigh 140.  I have mitral valve prolapse and a hear murmur.
My blood pressure is around 120/70 last week at the doctors office.
I have a history of slight to more severe chest pain at times resulting from the mitral valve.
I currently have a heaviness and slight pain in the middle of my chest.
I have been very tired for the past couple of weeks and this pain has been there as well.
I would feel silly going to the doctor if this is nothing.
Should I go and be checked out?

Yes, please do. Women have different symptoms with heart attacks and such. Since the pain has been lingering, you should be seen. Perhaps it's just some arthritis in the sternum but why take a chance. It's better to know for sure.
