Hello

I am very concerened with my health - for the past 2 1/2 years I have had problems with my stomach which is a concern but it seems to trigger tightness in my chest.

I get neck tightness and with some pain in my jaw and sometimes localised pain in my arms (in one spot rather then shooting pains)

I am 33 years of age and I have a Cardiac workup - (bloodtests, ecg, echo, 2 streestests, 24 hour BP monitor) all came back normal except a high colestorol. My doc is happy that it is not heart related but for the last two weeks I have been having horrible days of tight chest (and stomach).
People keep on noticing the colour leaving my face and my pulse seems to be vwry week when this happens.

I really do not kow what to do as thee does not seem to be an answer to what is causing my problems. I am aware that the stress test was probably the best test I have done for the heart but I keep reading that they are 70% right.

What are your thought on the affectivness of the stress tests for ruling our heart problems.
can I assume that this constant chest tightness (relaxing and exercise induced) would have showen up by now or I would have had a MI by now if it was the heart causing this.
any other thougts that could point me in the right direction.

Many thanks

Jono

I was on altace recently and it would actually put me to sleep.  They had to take me off due to really low blood pressure about 4 hours after I would take it.

Good luck!

If he is on coumadin then he is probably on other heart meds as well. I would suspect one of these. Beta blockers(atenolol etc) are notorious.
My doctors have juggled the various meds I take over the years for quality of life reasons but they never considered the coumadin as a factor.

My experience with Coumadin (3 months) is that it produces no such

symptoms.

Hello,
Coumadin shouldn't have much effect on sleep patterns.  I would look for another cause -- like why is he taking coumadin - atrial fibrillation can cause fatigue. Coumadin basically just interferes with the metabolism of clotting factors in the liver, there aren't many side effects beside bleeding.

Thanks for posting.
