High BP at night/laying down

My Mom went to hospital with episodes of both low & high B.P. 99/46(ave.) to 173/76 (ave.) with heart rates ranging from 50 to 190!
She was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation & put on Lanoxin .25 mg.-1/2 tab-1 x day a.m. & Rythmol 150 mg.-2 x a day am & pm.

After getting out of hospital she has been alternating between average to low 90/50-115/67 with exercise during the day. Although one time at 7 am it was 173/75 heart rate 55.

Every night her b.p. goes up to 173/89 average with heart rates staying mainly in 50's. Only thing is no more extremely heart rates since being on meds. She felt like the Rythmol at night (8 pm)makes her b.p. go up, although she COMPLETELY (I know) got off the Rythmol for two days & the b.p still went up every night. She started back yesterday only taking the a.m. dose while we are trying to hear further from doctors office.

Anyone else heard of this low b.p daytime w/exercise & at night getting high pressures?

Thanks to all in advance,
Houmom
