How can I get the swelling and burning in my feet and legs to stop?

I am hypertensive that is controlled by medication. My feet and legs have been swollen for going on two weeks now and it’s burning up to my calves and the skin is turning red and shiny.I’m not sure if it has anything to do with my  high blood pressure but I was hoping maybe you could give me and some advice on what to do with my blood pressure does have a water pill in it .
