I will be having a heart catheterizarion

I was diagnosed will MVP Mitral Valve Prolapse, I have pain in my heart. After CCT scan it was found that I have less than a 25% blockage in an artery in the front of my heart. But there was artifact because of movement, and they scan was unable to determine if there was more blockage behind the 25%. So I will get the catheterization to determine the extent of the blockage. If they find more, and end up putting in a stint how long will it be before I can resume a work out schedule of first riding the recumbent bike? How long before I can resume weight lifting? And if they do not put in a stint how long before I can do the above mentioned things?

I hate CT angiograms they are nearly always so inconclusive. You always read comments like "should be considered" and what you expect are facts. I think what you need is a gold standard angiogram to see exactly what is going on and establish the facts, along with in if any intervention is necessary. When you hear things like 25% narrowed or 50%, these are not an immediate concern with intervention, but do trigger warnings for lifestyle changes. It's a different matter when blockages are 80-99%. These are more risky. I think in your case further investigation is a possibility and they can then decide if any stents are required.

I had a stent placed Feb 5th. I had a stress test Feb 14th. During the treadmill EKG I got my heart up to 150 BPM and lasted 12 minutes. I was given the go ahead to work out and told to keep my BPM at 130 or less. I have worked out everyday since then. I do 1/2 hour per day on elipticle and about 45 min/day of weights. I feel good with no issues. I will ask at my appointment on Mar 11th if I can step up my workout. I am not sure how it works were you are but if you were scheduled for a stress test after the procedure they should tell you what you can do after that.

I have had over ten cardiac catherizations and they put in one of myfew stents in the last time I had one which was feb of last year. I would say after aweek you should have no problems with regular exercise. Weight lifting im not sure but just listen to your body and be careful. Im not a doctor but from my personal experiences you should be right back at it exercising easier than before in no time.

these were the findings
LEFT ANTERIOR DESCENDING ARTERY:

In the distal portion of the proximal third of the vessel originates the diagonal branch. At this point there is a localized dense calcific plaque in length anterior descending artery with intraluminal narrowing in the range of 25%.  Immediately after there is motion distortion of the vessel including the origin of the diagonal branch. However the possibility of a high-grade stenosis must be considered. The vessel thereafter appears free of disease.

What's a CCT Scan? If, however, you mean a CT Scan, there is no way for them to determine degree of blockage unless it was a multiple slice scan - as in 64- 128- slice scan.

These are things that you will have to discuss with your cardiologist because there is MVP to consider and I have no idea how severe it is.
