You are in an extremely low risk for having a heart attack. I think this is most likely anxiety provoked. Check your heart rate when you are relaxing at home. I bet it will be normal. If you would like to have some reassurance ask to wear a holter monitor which will measure your heart rate throughout the day and at night.
by the way you can take your pulse yourself by finding your radial pulse in your wrist...count the # of beats in 10 seconds and multiply by 6... normal is 60-100 if you're sitting down and relaxed
chances are you're just anxious about being at the doctor...that rate is consistant with anxiety. however, you should make a specific visit to your doctor about this reason, do not bring up anything else, go in once just for this and tell him you're worried about your heart rate going up and dizziness...certainly an EKG is a reasonable test to start with
Do not ignore it go see a cardiologist, it can be an early sign of heart problems.
