WHAT CAN CAUSE A BLOCKAGE IN THE RCA TO IMPROVE?

I HAD A CATH DONE 2 YEARS AGO WHEN A STENT WAS PLACED IN THE TOP OF THE LAD SAME PLACE AS 6 OTHER TIMES. LAST CATH REVEALED A PARTIAL BLOCKAGE IN THE RCA ABOUT 40% AND HAS IMPROVED TO ABOUT 25-30%. WHAT CAN CAUSE THIS WHEN I CAN NOT TAKE ANY MEDICATION FOR PLACQUE BUIL UP. I HAVE BEEN ON ASPIRIN AND PLAVIX AS I HAVE BEEN SINCE 2001.

Normally, blockages do not improve in time. The best achievable is considered a stable situation.

The simplest explanation I can think of is the inaccuracy of the two measurements.
An artery sometimes has a not completely circular cross section and also the plaque thickness can vary along the perimeter of the artery. Therefore ,depending on the angle at which the X-ray image is taken, differences in measurements  are found.
