Is it possible for cholesterol results to be wrong?

I recently had my yearly bloodwork done and my cholesterol came back EXTREMELY high.

Total Cholesterol 314
HDL Cholesterol 55
LDL Cholesterol 243
Triglycerides 81

I don't know what my results were last year as my doctor just told me they were fine (have different doctor now) and the previous two years it was 140 and 170.  I am 23, on no medications, exercise 4-5 days a week.  I am also on a keto diet(no carb) and eat extremely healthy, the only thing in my diet prior to the blood test with high cholesterol were whole eggs (had 3 a day) but have been told they wouldn't raise my cholesterol this high while some have said the fact they raise cholesterol at all is some myth from the 60s.  So is it possible my results were somehow wrong?  I fasted 14 hours, but I am dumbfounded as to how they are so high considering my diet.

Cheese EVERY day? and isn't feta cheese quite high in fat, like 30-60%?
You might as well be chomping on Lard.
Traditionally, feta cheese is made from goat or sheep milk, but there are many varieties sold which are made exclusively from high fat cows milk.
I realise 5oz a day doesn't sound much but thats obviously 35oz a week. If your variety is 60% fats, this is rather a lot.

You and that much meat at every day may not be a good match. Change the diet and then re-check lipids. Nuts and whole grains, fish are really good. Eat like a poor man. Joan.

In preparation of meals I don't use butter or anything, like might use PAM spray with eggs and that's it.

The Meat I'm going to estimate is around 8oz per meal, they are already pre cut from costco.

5oz of cheese a day.

Thanks for diet sample alhto' you don't mention prep of meats or the quanity of meat and cheeses. I go back to my original post about a better diet and a re-check later. Joan.

oops, I will wake up in a minute, I saw your comment about the 14 hours.

To be sure, is it possible you can take a second test? I suppose it is possible that something could have been odd that day and elimination is always a good road. If the
second one is high, then it could be a sign that your liver has become over active at
producing those lipids.

The obvious question to ask here is did you fast before the test?  If fasting is not done, the test results can be all over the place. For one of my tests I looked at the clock and realised I was eating when I shouldn't be. I didn't cancel the test and the results showed my cholesterol was higher than it should be. Ready to increase my Statins, I had to own up to my GP and she was not happy with me :(   Another fasting test soon after revealed low cholesterol.

Pre Bood test:
Meal 1: 3 whole eggs, 3 slices turkey bacon/bacon, sometimes I added some cheese
Meal 2: Protein Shake with skim milk
Meal 3 +4: Chicken Breast +2.5 oz feta cheese

Post Blood test:
Meal 1: 6 egg whites, 3 slices bacon/turkey bacon
Meal 2: Pork tenderloin + cup of broccoli + cup of blue berries
Meal 3: Chicken Breast + cup of broccoli +2.5 oz feta cheese + cup of blue berries
Meal 4: Chicken breast +2.5oz feta cheese +cup of broccoli

I do cheat meal/half cheat day/cheat day once a week depending on my cravings.  I have no junk food during normal diet.

But how much of those items are you eating? with cholesterol levels like that I would say you must be eating one pig, three turkeys, six chickens and about 3 berrys.
(just kidding)
What about snacks inbetween meals? eating much junk food?

No carbs? What are you eating that's healthy? Veggies, fruit, nuts, beans, legumes, soy (tofu)? A few eggs a week are certainly not a problem. Are you eating a lot of animal meats? Where's your protein from? I'd be concerned with those numbers too, although the triglycerides are good. I'd be very careful and do a better job at a better, more balanced diet and then get a re-check in three months. Try taking a look at oldways.org and the mediterrean diet pyramid. What did your doctor say? Joan.
