Hello,

I did a cholesteroll test and my LDL was 150 HDL 50. I do not major health issues but I find high for my age 35.
I do sport and I am not overweight.
Is something serious to consider.
Thank you for your answer.

Yep, I responded earlier to the post stating 1774, and said not by the way this is measured in the USA....Impossible, if real they should check to see if they can be listed in a world record book.

As for the LDL of 150, my total cholesterol measured last Monday is 135, I haven't yet picked up the details, but given my HDL is on the high end I'll estimate my LDL about 35.

I don't think that number is possible, I would get it re-checked before I got too worked up. Call your doctor for another test under more normal conditions.

Hi. I have just found this forum. Am really worried now my LDL was tested yesterday with my Troponin, as i had bad chest pain & in neck & jaw too. The troponin came back as 0.060 so that was gd. But my LDL is 1774 !!! Icant find any numbers like that anywhere. So feeling worried. A bit about me i am female aged 46, 5ft 8. Weight 57kg 9stone approx. I have a heavy medical history of 8 thrombosis 6 pulmonary embolisms. Due to a genetic mutation. 10 Pneumothorax (lung collapses) both lungs. Finally Breast cancer in left & right. An LDL of 150 is too high. If you can control it t an early age it may save you years of issues later. What did your doctor suggest?
