Left Shoulder pain

My husband had quadruple bypass surgery in 2009, now 5 years later today he is having really bad shoulder pain. Is this anything to be concerned about?

Is he on Statins? While I was on Statins I had severe Rhabdomyolysis. The pain was first in the right shoulder and then switched to the left.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, which shoulder right or left? Sometimes cardiac pain or angina can be referred to the left shoulder. The other causes for the pain are rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Arthritis or bursitis can produce pain in the joints. Arthritis is inflammation of the joints. Bursa are sac like structures above and below the joints which helps in the movement of the tendons around the joints. These can get inflamed causing bursitis. If the pain persists consult your doctor for an evaluation. Regards.
