Lipid profile results impacted by Cholecalciferol medication?

Hi

I had a GOLDCAL D3 CAPSULE for Cholecalciferol 60000 IU. And on the next day went for a lipid profile. The results showed abnormal High cholesterol levels.

Are the lab results reliable. Also by when the impact of the medicine will be lowered to go to a re-testing for Lipid profile?

Goldcal D3 contains Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) which is a fat soluble vitamin, that helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorous found in food and supplements.
Although there are some tests that show a relationship between vit D and cholesterol, it is not probable that the intake of one capsue affected the outcome of your cholesterol levels the next day.

Lab results are very reliable, so you can assume that you indeed have high cholesterol levels.
