Maze procedure

The maze procedure: How deep are the slices, how many, how long to develope scar tissue, are stiches used, where is a description of procedure found? Any data studies or publications?

The cuts are a couple of millimeters deep. The number is really determined by the surgeon at the time of the operation. Scar tissue starts to form immediately, though the process continues for several weeks. There have been a number of descriptions of the procedure, including results, in different cardiac journals.
