Metoprolol and dry mouth

I doctor just prescribed 25 mg and Metoprolol. I noticed in researching the drug that one side effect is dry mouth. I’ve had dry mouth in the past and it increased my cavities besides being very unpleasant. I’m worried about having this side effect. Are there any alternatives that do not cause dry mouth? Quite frankly this is very disturbing to me.
