Murmur of Something serious

Hi;
I am 24 years old(male) and i am preaty healty. Since the early age i had this problem ,where my heart would start beating very fast for about minut or two. This would happend every once in a while if i would make unpredictable move or jump.Usauly what i would to stop it is: go lower to the ground and try to take breath and slowly let it out. The pounding would stop aventualy.  I went to the Doctor but they said that this would go away after puberty. I resantly visited a Doctor and had haert halter for 24 and ekg and everything checked up .They say that is anxeity but i am kind of scepticle about it. Because the other day when i was working out it started to beat unregularly and i felt very tired and anxtions aferwards.

I would like to thank you ahead on time to answer my quastion.

Dear tito12,
The only way to know for sure what is happening is to make a recording of your heart's rhythm </B> while you are having the palpitation </B>.  If you did not have any episodes while you were wearing the Holter monitor then your doctor can not make a diagnosis.  If you did have an episode during this 24 hours and the Holter was normal then it can be said that your symptoms are not due to a cardiac arrhythmia.

I would recommend an "event monitor" or "loop recorder" to try to capture the event on tape.  These devices can be worn for an extended period and help greatly with the diagnosis of palpitations.

I'd go see a cardiologist and have a complete evaluation done including an echo and possibly an event monitor that would capture the irregular rate when it occurs.Holters are only good if you are having the irregularity where as an event monitiot,worn like the holter monitor is activated by the wearer only when the irregularity is notriced.
