New heart murmur, need someone with experience to help me out

Hello everyone,
I'm a 32 y/o female who is relatively good shape, thanks to taking up running a few years ago.  I have completed several half marathons, many smaller races, and one full marathon last November.  I had a physical performed a few months before the marathon, and all checked out well. I have never had any inclination that I had a heart problem, though I would occasionally faint as a pre-teen. About 6 years ago I went to the ER for chest tightness and pressure when sitting and laying down.  I was told I have costochondritis, which even now will flare up in times of stress or after physical activity.  3 days ago I went to the ER for abdominal pain and vomiting, and the only things of significance they found was a heart murmur.  I was told I should see my primary care doctor ASAP.  Yesterday I met with the primary care, and she said my heart murmur was 3/6 systolic ejection murmur.  A ECG was performed, and was relatively normal, though she did notice inverted T waves, which she dismissed as "probably nothing" I have an appt. for an echo on Wednesday, but as you can imagine I am extremely  nervous as to what this new diagnoses means.  Doctor Goggle is definitely not helping, and is only increasing my anxiety level.  If any can offer some advice, who has been through this before, i would greatly, greatly appreciated. I'm very scared! Thanks in advance

A heart murmur comes from a not perfect blood flow in the heart. In many cases it is innocent.

So don't get scared, many people (>10%) have heart murmur and are living absolutely normal healthy lives.
Murmurs are often found during routine test in persons who visit their doctor for something completely else. In most cases no further action for the murmur is required.

The echo will shed light on the cause of your murmur.
