could it be Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia/Cardiomyopathy? how would that be diagnosed? would that fit my symptoms of chest pain and the PVC's and VT and other symptoms that I feel? if a dangerous arrythmia (V-Fib) is triggered during EP study, how often is it converted back to normal and what are the chances of death resulting from this test? im REALLY concerned about could it be Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Dysplasia/Cardiomyopathy!!

Echo, stress test, stress echo, holter, and event monitors have all been normal besides "PVC's and a 26 beat run of ventricular tachycardia at 127bpms that self terminated". I seen an EP today and he said that he thought it to be benign and called it Idiopathic Ventricular Tachycardia and I started asking questions and he said that just to be safe he wants to do an EP study next week. Can you explain an EP study? How safe are they to do? If he triggers a deadly arrythmia can they easily terminate it and keep me safe? What if he has to do an ablation, how safe is that? Just how benign is "Idiopathic Ventricular Tachycardia"? Can it develop into V-Fib?

I also  have the same strange heart beats and I have have had them for years... I have let them disrupt my life for a few years now and I seem to let them ruin my day. I actually have them all day long here and there. I am always worried they are going to lead to something bad... I can't take this feeling very well and I get so depressed about it all of the time. I hope I can cope with this better in the months or years to come.

hi jenny try not to worry self sick. if you let them they can take over your life and cause so much anxiety. i know i let them and than got tired of not living , so now at 51 i have had them since i was 12, got worse at 23, i look over them not easy  and there are times i run to my cardio but most time i pass them by. i have had over 3000 a day no fun. i wore a heart monitor for 30 days always the same they will not kill you , thank goodness. i take a very low bb its timiolol old meds have took for 30 years 10mg a day and it helps but no med will ever cure the beats , so no matter how many pills you take you will feel them here and there, meds will drag you down.   have you had all the test for your heart stress/treadmill test/ echo test. ekg. if so and they say your heart id sound than your ok just got to learn to live with them and thats not easy. always someone on here to talk. having a good support person when you need them makes all the difference. my hubby is the best and when i feel so anxiety hes by my side helping me get throught them. hope you have a pap free night
